Q. Who can bring their vehicle to our A.T.F?
A. Anybody who has an unwanted vehicle can bring it into us.

Q. Do I need to pay anything?
A. The service is free of charge provided that the vehicle is not missing essential components (i.e. engine, wheels, coachwork, catalytic converter) or has added waste.

Q. Can somebody collect my car?
A. Yes, if you are unable to bring the vehicle to our facility we operate a collection service. Our fleet is fully equipped to prevent any harmful leaks to the environment during transport.

Q. What type of vehicle can be brought to the A.T.F.?
A. We are licenced to accept any of the following vehicles that were registered within the E.U.:
  • Category M1 : Vehicles used for the carriage of passengers and comprising no more than eight seats in addition to the driver's seat.
  • Category N1 : Vehicles used for the carriage of goods and having a maximum weight not exceeding 3.75 metric tons.
  • Three-wheeled motor vehicles.

Q. How do I go about disposing of my car?
A. It’s easy! Just bring your vehicle along with it’s log-book/ vehicle certificate and photo I.D. to our facility or avail of our collection service. Our opening hours are Monday to Friday 8a.m. to 6.00p.m. and Saturdays from 8a.m.to 1p.m..Collections outside our normal opening hours can be organised by arrangement.

Q. What happens to my vehicle?
A. Your vehicle is depolluted and dismantled. The removed parts are segregated and recycled. A Certificate of Destruction is issued to the registered owner and a copy is sent to the National Vehicle Records.

I.A.E.S. is an Authorised Treatment Facility for End-of-Life Vehicles.
Fingal County Council has issued us a Waste Permit WPT 111 to depollute, dismantle and recycle vehicles for Dublin. We accept all models of ‘bangers’/ scrap cars/ crashed wrecks free of charge* and recycle at least 85% of each vehicle.

*As per Waste Management (End-of-Life Vehicles) Regulations 2006 all vehicles can be brought to I.A.E.S. free of charge provided vehicles are complete and not missing any essential components and there is no added waste in the vehicles. Otherwise a handling charge is applicable.
